Being inspired by this group of builders and posters, I am contemplating a strip built kayak this winter. The line drawings of Nick's Night Heron have been taped to my monitor for the last couple months and they are still there, a good sign.

I'd be interested in comments regarding its "in the water" characteristics and performance of this design from those who have paddled one.

I was watching the recent Night Heron posting and was surprised that despite the number of views, only Nick had something to say. Are there not many Night Heron owners out there?
