: Depends on the length of the boards, but the numbers I remember seem to be
: about 45 board feet. If you are getting 10 foot boards and 1 x 8s then you
: would need about 7 boards.
: I'd be fascinated by a picture of you carrying these materials home from the
: lumberyard on your motorcycle. Consider using scraps of the strips and
: leftover epoxy to make some fancy accesories for your motorcycle. i
: started thinking about saddlebags and an extra fuel tank for my cycle.
: By the way, if you rip a couple of the 10 footers in half to give you a pair
: of nominal 1x4s, and then scarf these 1 x4s with a single 2 foot long
: diagonal cut on the end of each, you get 18 foot material which you can
: rip into some nice long strips.
: Hope this helps

Thanks for the response. the boards are 1x6x16 ft. I can get 1x8 but they cost a bit more and seemed to have more knots. I also have a mini-van(my wifes) to haul the wood home.(if I can figure a way to borrow it without her knowing where I'm going.)The motorcycle is from work. I'm a Motorcycle Police Officer(please don't hold it against me:).
