Thanks for your reply, very encouraging. I should have included my weight & height (175 lbs., 6') so we would have a better basis for comparison. At this size, would my "fit" approximate yours?

: volume, it handles well in wind and waves (powerboat wakes). The boat
: tracks well and turns well. The most noteworthy is its secondary
: stablilty. The primary stability is good, but you can lean the boat well
: over against increasing righting moment. I could lean the boat and put
: water up on the coaming and still feel solid. This boat will do well in a
: beam sea. After trying over a dozen designs we bought the plans. The Night
: Heron won us both over, hands down. We have now started construction on
: the low deck version.
