Check my post above to see if its of any use to you (i tend to ramble). I started with the laughing loon site and read through his links then went to the Guillemot site and read through those links. And found several others as I needed info. Then I drew plans as mentioned above and started to work. There are several books out on strip building that would be able to get you started with the building process.
Have I seen your posts on the agnst site? If so I'll assume you have an idea about the design you want to make. As soon as I can remember to get my sketchs to a scanner I'll post what I did to create my sections (a picture is worth 1,000 words). There are a few things you need to do different with these small boats. I had to addapt a few things to suit my purpose. Like cutting the strips down to 3/8" wide and being creative with them so that you reduce the bend that some have to take.

Consider making a mold of your hull so that you can make a glass composite hull with a wood deck. The hull takes a lot of abuse in the river and looks like crap in short order. I'll never tie-dye a hull again, but maybe some white paint with sparkles
