One peice of cloth on the inside and the outside. In actuallity, that joint becomes stronger than the rest of the stripper since epoxy floods the joint whereas the other strips are glued with carpenters glue. I use 6 oz. on the inside and 4 0z. on the outside joint for clairty and to not create a lump that I have to feather out at the end. Most of the cloth tapes are 9 oz. however you can find 6 oz. tape. I think Noha's in WA. has it.
