In Response To: Stapleless Guillemot -a couple of questions (Richard Boyle)
Thanks to everyone for the ideas. I have been using L shaped plywood jigs held with spring clamps at the stations, masking tape between the stations, and screwed on scraps plus steaming to hold down the stems(about a dozen rows of strips on so far).
It is working well, but is slow going, mainly because I am using a rolling bevel. The rolling bevel takes more time than gluing down the strip without staples. Next strip kayak will definitely be bead and cove.
Richard.
