I think that's a big mistake. The absorbed epoxy is nothing especially compaired to the work of re glassing a boat if it doesn't bond well and starts delaminating. Be happy a little gets absorbed into the wood - that's what it should do. Actually, so little is absorbed that it's not even worth considering.
