I just got a new Toolcrib catolog and noticed an Accuset 23-gauge micro pinner in the nail gun section. 23 gauge is only a hair wider that the thin dimention of a standard Arrow staple. Theses pins are singular and round so alignment would not be a problem as with staples put in at an angle. The holes would be smaller an it is an air tool so drving would be sweet. The cost is about $120 with a bunch of fasteners which is not cheap but I am sure it would get other uses. The pins come in lengths from 1/2 to 1 IN. Has anyone tried this type of fastener? Is it important to be able to tie two strips together? Would one small pin be enough to hold the strips in place? This seems like it could be a comprimise between staples or not. Curriously, Steve
