I also have been wondering if anyone has recommendations for waterfowling from a kayak, what boat and how they set it up. All the add's I've seen for poke boats that sure look like short fat kayaks.

I've also heard good things about scull boats, but they weigh more than I want to handle. Look at Glen-L web page under "Boat Design Catalog" then under "Special Purpose". (I used their "Poxy-Sheild" epoxy on a strip canoe. I now use Raka and will never go back):

Back to kayaks. I'm interested in hunting from a kayak. I'm thinking about building a CLC Ches 17 and elongating the cockpit to the rear to create a layout boat.

Any first hand recommendations would be helpful.
