I'm 6' and 180 lb and use my Chesapeake 17 for striper fishing in Long Island Sound. It's a great fishing boat, but I wouldn't want to use it for hunting. It would be hard to camouflage and your swing would be limited to certain directions. It would also be difficult to carry lots of decoys unless you just tow a bag behind the boat. Anchoring is also very problematic.
