I just weighed mine and took the vital statistics:

• Beam (without rubrails): 20"
  
• Length: 17' 8"
  
• Height of bow: 15.25"
  
• Height of stern: 11"
  
• Weight: 27 lbs
  

Some cockpit stats:

• Inside width: 17"
  
• Inside length: 30.5"
  
• Bow to cockpit rim (inside): 101"
  
• Stern to cockpit rim (inside) 80.5"
  
• Distance from floor panels to bottom of fore deck beam (knee room): 8"
  
• Distance from floor panels to bottom of rear cockpit deck beam: 4.75"
  
• Chine to gunwale distance (at the cockpit): 4.5"
  

The frame was western red cedar with mahogany keel and rubrails. The water based Varathane went on thin, I have at least 7 coats on the hull and 5 on the deck. The polyester was 9 ounce vs. the 15 ounce canvas on my first one.

Sorry to rub it in, maybe you could build another, using some ultralight methods. If mine keeps me as impressed as I am now, it will become my regular kayak. It is sooo easy to cartop. I can carry the thing with one finger. It feels like it might be delicate, but if it is, it is only because of the polyurethane glue instead of epoxy. I don't plan on using it for rocky surf landings. I do plan on being careful when launching and landing.
