Katie,
Two small bits of information: (1) A couple years ago, I talked with a man at a Lansing, MI small watercraft show who was completing one of the Stillwater boats. He wasn't happy with the experience and said he would not build another one. I don't recall what his specific objections were. (2) At the Bay City, MI Small Craft Symposium this past August there was a Stillwater canoe on display whose hull was quite unfair. The problems were where the darts were cut into the edges of the plywood. Maybe a less-than-careful builder; maybe a bad design.
Ken
: Gini,
: Thanks for your input. Right now I think I've narrowed it down to a Mill
: Creek 15 or one of the Stillwater boats. I'm still trying to get some more
: advice about the Stillwaters. I would like your email, though, in case I
: go with the Mill Creek15. What tools did you need to have for this boat
: kit? You don't happen to know what the dimensions of the cockpit are, do
: you? the website specs don't say.
