I didn't weigh my frame before skinning, but it was quite light.

For the kayak demolition derby I'll use my friend's Guillemot. He did the expedition layup recommended in Nick's book, but substituted the recommended 6 oz. cloth with 10 oz., and the 6 oz. tape with 6" wide 20 oz. triaxal tape. I think the ends are filled with 10,000 p.s.i. foam for at least 1.5 feet. He also used aircraft foam instead of wood.
