there is no go "no no" both ways.
I did some reaserch on it few months ago, about the time spidey
had his disaster with the PR.
anyway:
PR sticks to epoxy. gelkote is PR based & there is no problem putting it on
epoxy. PR is much harder than epoxy so you don't get a scratch everytime
your kayak touches anything.
PR is what "real" boats are made of, & than they are covered with "gelkote".
"gelkote" is a brand name.
epoxy on PR - no problemo. the epoxy will definitely stick to PR better
than PR sticks to PR. just make sure you sand the PR alittle, before you
apply the epoxy.
the thing with "PR dont dry when applied on epoxy" has nothing to do
with epoxy.
PR will not cure when in contact with air. spidey tried the styrene version -
the styrene is supposed to float on the PR & seal it from air. it works
& the PR cures. ask spidey.
another way is a special spray to be applied on the wet PR. it seals it from
air, & the PR dries. read the instruction on the PR label.
