Well, just put rigging on and installed seats in our latest stripper last night. This is a scale-down of our standard Eagle double. It is a foot shorter (at 19' 6") and an inch narrower (26 1/2" beam) than our regular plywood version. Built for a couple in Florida who are sized very differently from each other. Thus the smaller bow cockpit with everything moved a bit forward to best balance their weights (he is 5' 11" and weighs 175# and she is 4' 10" and weighs around 100#).
The deck stripping is their design. This kayak has the mahogany shear and keel strips that I posted a while back. Also, finished with the 2 part clear-coat. Man that stuff shines! About an hour after this picture was taken today (note the snow) this yak was loaded and headed south. I expect it will be happy. (I hope their new Yakima rack is sturdy enough - seemed sort of flimsy to me, thus lots of extra ropes).
