Putz style kayak using Strip forms

All this talk of Putz style kayaks has me wondering would it be possible to build a Putz Style kayak using some forms previously used for construction of a strip built Outer Island. The forms might have to be notched for the stringers but I cannot think of any major problems. Any ideas or thoughts?
