For reference, Klepper makes their deck out of a "proprietary weave of Egyptian cotton and hemp", yet make the boat hull from "Polyester Core Hypalon". Since they have been a manufacturer for a long time, I assume that if hemp made an excellent hull material that they would use it. Of course, it could be that what they use now is just a better material, and maybe hemp works fine. I'll ask around and get back if I find out any more info. See
