Hi,
This is just my opinion, but it makes sense to me. I feel that a mini cell seat only adds to the unstableness of a swamped kayak because it is under water and trying to rise to the top, and thus tip the kayak upside down. As an example, if you take a football and cut it length ways in half and put some foam in the bottom and flood it in water, it will turn upside down. This same force will be exerted on a kayak, and while small, why not put all of the small forces on your side rather then against you.
