Thank you for all of the great information from everyone. John Machne you have a great web page of scarfing. My scarfing jig for my table saw looks just like yours. I seemed to get a little curl on the feather edge of my pieces that I didn't like. The half lap joint was very accurate and fast and glued together very nicely. I wrapped the glue joint in wax paper and placed the strip along the inside of a right angle 6' long pole barn sheet metal corner to keep everthing strait and clamped with spring clamps. It worked out well.
