Hi Larry;

Thanks for the report on the life of the foam - - I am a bit shocked! It sure seems fragile to me, but the proof is in the experience. Sanded minicell is a lot like a fabric, in that it feels nice, what with all the "threads."

I'd bet that your speaker grill cloth is similar to some cotton/lycra fabric I picked up today. Most of the speakers I built have been covered with the same stuff gotten from fabric shops over the years. Nice stretch, lots of colors, and it lasts at least as well as your foam! Tim reminded me of it today in an earlier post in this thread, and I found some really nice looking deep green fabric. Against the wood tones it looks outstanding. Once I get the shape of the seat finalized, I'll get to see what it will really look like.

This KBBS is really something else for support, the contributors have an absolute wealth of information that they readily share. I feel paid in full many times over for whatever I have contributed . . .
