I also have light blotches on my boat due to tb2, and I sanded the heck out of my boat to compensate for forms that were not quite fair. For other uses I like the stuff but it discolors cedar, I found this to be true even where I didm't wipe the excess off, not as bad but if the glue sat for any legnth of time without setting up there is a blotchy spot on the boat.
