Are you planning on stapling the new seat the the boat?

: Well, the advice was great - I lengthened, deepened, and reshaped the
: Minicell and it feels great to sit in. Shawn, I just about hit your
: recommended major dimensions right on. With the 3-1/2" rear depth of
: the cutout in the 4" foam, I can't even see a need for further hip
: bracing.

: I experimented with a Lycra fabric ala Tim, and it was my final choice. It
: stretched and conformed to to the contours perfectly, and looks pretty
: slick. It only took about 20 minutes to install. The photo below doesn't
: quite do justice to the color and texture of the fabric (it's pretty
: smooth), but it gives an idea how it looks against red cedar.
