well, it depends who you ask,

I have a coho, & to my opinion it's a giant ! a monster ! well, nothing
personal against the coho. after building it I think any kayak with these sizes
17'6" x 23+ is a giant. the west r 180 has similar sizes.

after building the coho (my 1st boat) I would go for the osprey std.

just my preferences after I learned what I did.

My coho is now a take-a-part, so it weighs a ton, so perhaps I do have
use for all that volume, but as I said - osprey std.

the coho is the only kayak I have, so i can't compare it's behavior to any other wooden kayak.

I have some experience with plastics & I would say the coho's primary/secondary stability is much more like the "capella" (by p&h) than the "looksha" (necky) .

all the manufacturers (wood plastic & glass) say their boats are "wonderful, they tracks well & turns easily when leaned", so I just ignore it.
