Make sure your mast has flotation so it won't turn turtle, (upside down) or self rescue is not possible. When the mast floats on a cat, it is easy to just stand on the haul in the water and grab hold of the haul in the air and flip the boat upright. I,m not sure how that would work on a trimaran. The first time I fliped my cat, the mast wasn't sealed and it took a half day to right it with the help of a power boat and a pontoon boat. Keep us informed if you build your pontoons so we can learn from you.
