Hi Erez, my 17 has almost the same dimmensions as the Osprey--the difference being mine is about 16" longer. I'm 6'1" and 200# and like the cockpit room. I really like the boat for the most part. I am a lot like you in that I haven't had much experience in other wooden kayaks. It is high volume boat, but I wanted to be able to pack a weeks worth of goodies without having to sacrafice creature comforts. Thanks again for your input.
