Shawn & Rhed,
I can get all the bubble wrap I need, it's the large bubble stuff that Rhed likes to pop. Shawn, I know it is no as efficient as air alone but, I can make the bags larger and longer than any commercial bags. I don't need any more dry bags, just some float bags for safety to fill the forward and aft compartments when paddling unloaded. I have bulkheads but, extra safety is my idea. I thought it would be away of adding safety without spending a lot.
I have been making a lot of boat stuff with the sewing machine. I'm now making my second custom fitted kayak travel cover. They work great to protect boat from sun and road hazards (stone thrown from passing trucks, hail, etc.). I don't have ANY sewing skils. I can only make basic simple projects. The float bags fall into that category.

Thanks for the input,

Larry C.
