: Take Shawn's and Matthews floatbag, drybag ideas and construct a large
: airbag/drybag w/ a pvc bulkhead end (or pvs perimeter) right behind the
: seat. Instal a hatch in that bulkhead and you have some skin redundancy,
: as well as fairly ok access. If the bag was really robust you could
: maybe(probably not) start pulling it all out as the gear was half
: unloaded.

: For the front, maybe you could make drybags that were slightly smaller that
: the inner circumference and jam in place w/ a typical front airbag. Let

Altho a pvc skin yak would be the best,the other way to take this is to make sea sock hatches. Assuming the hatch system is ok(an obvious prerequisite), just glue on a big sock that drapes inside the hatch lip(say it looks like a coaming) or elastics around an upturn, or if pvc, glues and sews to the under side. And attach the hatch.
