: Hi Pete;
: I thought that might be what you were pointing out, but I wanted to actually
: try the seat out before commenting. I noticed exactly what you were
: referring to, but the velcro held even though I came down hard on the
: seatback. Still, I could see how it could be repositioned with a clumsy
: entry. One thing I did notice was that the vertical angle of the seatback
: was not proper, in that I felt primarily the top of the back - The
: pressure wasn't distributed evenly. I could simply change the attachment
: angle, but in retrospect, I wonder if the floating, suspended back like
: you describe wouldn't be self-adjusting as well as more positive.
: Do you have a favorite means of rigging? Is there a web site you'd like to
: point me to? I'd be interested at exploring some alternatives.
: Best Regards, Spidey
Brians post just about covers how my seat back is attached. They are webbing screwed to the cheek plates or below the cockpit via blocks glued to the hull to hold it forward and then bungied just iunder the coaming behind the seat to hold them back and up.
Mine is from the CLC design which I then copied for my SOs Merganser also.
