Regarding your seat attachment: Use double stick carpet tape and paddle in wind, shifting the seat fore and aft until you are happy with the performance. Then glue permanently in place using waterproof contact adhesive. Fastening the seat permanently to the bottom of the boat increases the durability of the seat because the hull acts as part of the seat. That way when you do wild stuff like rolls, rescues, surfing, etc, your seat will stay where it belongs! For a more detailed discussion of the above, see our website at "kayakfit.com".
