Thanks! Actually, I was thinking of doing my next accent strip the way you've done it, but your comment has made me rethink that method. Maybe I'll have to figure out a way to do the prelaminated accent strips with my new design.

5" round works just fine. I would still recommend using an "old-fashioned" fairing board and elbow grease to get your surfaces fair, as that will do a better job of avoiding high and low spots that any power sander can miss and/or create. I used only my 5" round, but I wish I'd have done some longboard fairing as well. You can't fair it once the glass is on, though!!

By the way, where are you at? Are we going to see you at the West Coast Rendezvous or the Newfound Rendezvous next summer?
