Yes, the chine stays in the same place, but you may want to pull it up at the bow and stern just a little bit.

There is very little rocker in these Walruses. On my latest one I narrowed the forms and used heavier sheer and keelson stringers. Net result was a narrower (20" beam) kayak with more deadrise and flare. I also increased the spacing or the forms, to make it longer (17'8"). The new one might be able to use some more rocker, due to the increase in length. It only turns as well as the Arctic Tern, not as sharp as the other Walruses. But it is a nice fast cruiser.
