I hope one of the engineer/chemist types on the list can shed some light re: a choice of which respirator to purchase. I was ready to purchase a respirator from Jamestown Distributors, when I decided to call their tech folks to ask which they would recommend.

I told him of my need to filter out wood, epoxy, fiberglass particles as well as epoxy fumes. He checked with his boss, and agreed that none of their respirators filtered all of these substances. Given their specialty in selling these products this concerned me...and the tech guy as well.

I have looked at the 3M model at Loewes and the AOD Professional at Sears.

My question:....can anyone suggest a specific respirator that is known to filter the substances we all need filtering from?
