I too had these "fuzzies" in the paint. Some were hard bumps integrated into the fabric itself while others were softer having been raised by the paint. I chose to ignore them. They did reduce in size as the paint dried, but didn't completely go away. I did find that when the paint is wet, you can smooth the paint down (with a squeegy or finger). This seems to reduce the bumps and lumps quite a bit, but can leave streaks. I'd agree with Cotton Joe and wouldn't sand. Its likely to increase the problem. I remember reading somewhere (maybe here ?) about possibly burning off the fuzzy stuff with quick (obviously! :-) passes of a torch before painting. I know that's too late for that now, though.

They almost certainly do reduce the efficiency of the hull, but for me at least, I don't think I would notice the difference. This problem may be a good reason to go synthetic if it really bothers you. Your colors sound nice. Hope to see some pictures soon.
