I bead & coved the hull strips and I bevelled the deck strips. I used a jointer to cut the bevel on a lot of the strips and a block plane on the strips that had a rolling or changing bevel. I found that a normal block plane worked better than a low angle plane for the strip bevelling. The low angle plane tended to have more tear out. It could have just been my strip's grain orientation. But it is a good excuse to buy another tool.
