I should have asked when in doubt, but I just plowed ahead. The fillet was pretty easy to fix turns out, however messy. Used a 1/2" drum sander and course paper with the dremel and a shop vac hose and brush nearby, also respirator and magnifying (2 1/2 power) glasses helped a bunch. Now on to the glassing probably this weekend sometime.
