Mine looked the same, don't sweat it. Remember that the only part of the form that is actually a representation of the shape of the boat is the edge with the paper on it...that is if you faced the paper toward the bow on the forms in front of the cockpit and faced them toward the stern on those behind the cockpit.

Did that make sense?

On the forms in the middle of the boat the strips will lie pretty well perpendicular but as you get toward the bow or stern they will only touch the one side like your photo shows.
