Yeh, I think I'd opt for the Contractor's model if I were looking for something inexpensive for this job. But, the saw has been purchased, and it WILL do the job. Just not the heavy stuff. Myself, I'm still waiting for the Delta Unisaw to drop a bit. I saw where Amazon was offering it for around $1,600 or so, for the 3hp. model. They were that price about 5 to 7 years ago. I'll watch a little longer. Gotta pay off this barn and workbench. LOL Later Dude,
