Another way to speed up use of hot glue for stapless construction is to add dots of hot glue on the edge to edge strip joint between stations to hold the join closed. I use spring clamps to align strips then hot glue dots on the joint. after 60 seconds remove the spring clamps and work on the next strip.

I assume you know I use sheet rock screws driven into the stations near the stems to apply spring clamps to hold the strips in place until the hot glue set-up there.
