It might surprise you, but this board has only been widely popular for a little more than 2 years, and the big boom in wood kayak building is due in no small part to the board. A lot of the people you think are gurus have only started building kayaks a year or three before you have. (Except for Nick, he's a wise "old" sage whose kayak building skills are as old as the hills!)
