I'd been sitting on an idea when some time ago you asked out loud if there was a good sized simple ordinary diaphram pump flange that is real cheap and is lying around everybody's house or apt. And at the time, I didn't speak up as I was playing around (thinking) w/ something like the ideas in the previous posts, and would maybe do a few sketches.

But like it's chrismas and the topic is up.

So just wander into the bathroom or bathroom closet, and you see that toilet plunger over there? Press it into 4or 5 layers of wet glass and curl over the edge(maybe some thin screws or bolts), cut off the wooden handle flush or protruding depending on the pedal or lever you want.

I bought 2 fancy ones up here in canada for 2.49each when I thought of it, down there it's probaby a buck ea.
