Yea I know. The feather is a reproduction turkey feather from Matoska Trading Co. I have also purchased some imitation immature Bald Eagle Feathers, Yellow Flicker, and Coopers hawk Feathers. My idealogy precludes the use of a real Hawk's feather whether or not it was Federal Law. I hunt and fish, but would never eat one so I don't kill for fashion or adornment. I will eat a Turkey though. I plan to try to incorporate these feathers into other canoes and kayaks in the future and match their patterns and colors to the accent strips.
