: I was leaning towards buying the Porter Cable Quicksand ROS sander at a sale
: price of $59 with a 2.4 amp motor. But yesterday I was in Wal-Mart and saw
: the Black & Decker ROS sanders at $30 with a 2 amp motor. Both have
: speeds of 12,000. I checked the price of the B&D online and found it
: ranged from $41 to $53 plus shipping. The only disavantage I see would be
: the B&D would heat up faster because of the smaller motor. Any reason I
: shouldn't buy the B&D.

Don't know about B&D ROS, but own one of their drill before. It last two trials. The first time was OK but loud and vibrated alot. Second time the motor burnt out drilling a small 1/4 inch hole in DF. The drill had life-time warranty. I called them up. they told me to drive 20 miles out of town and fill in a whole bunch of papers and of course the receipt. I have to drop off the drill and come back a week later to pick up another one. The first 20 miles driving is good enough for me. Needless to say, I walked out of their door and disposed the burnt drill into their dumpster.
No more B&D for me.
