I'm pretty sure I could lay some stringers and measure at certain points in between the forms. With the flat sides of a hard-chined kayak, it shouldn't be difficult at all. I'm debating over trying that or just stripping with a large distance between the forms. The panels are flat so they would be less prone to irregularities. I won't be starting on it until at least next winter though. I've got too many irons in the fire right now. Plus I'm still working through creating my own folding double. I will probably adapt it from some strip built design, but I am wanting it to be a skinny double, < 25" beam.
