Thanks for the complete description. I haven't glassed the deck yet, so I may put the fittings in first like you did. Did you bother to round off the part of the fitting that protrudes below deck? Now that I think of it, I don't think I will install the fittings before glassing the deck because that would make glassing the inside of the deck that much more difficult, no?
Sorry to be so pedantic, but its raining terribly here, and I can't do any work on the boat. I have to be content with talking about working on the boat.
