Erez,

Thanks for the drawing. I want to install a skeg in my Guilemot as I am used to the solid tracking of my Chesapeaks. Just a couple of questions.

What is the crosshatched area on the skeg?

Is this skeg controlled by a sheathed push/pull cable?

Have you thought about any way to downspring it so you could control it with tension line, secured with a simple cam cleat? What are your thoughts?

Am I being paranoid about the Guillemot not being a strong tracking boat and is the skeg worth the extra weight and complexity on this boat?
