Hi Rob;
I was able to build your GB with essentially no hot glue between the strips and forms, and the strips conformed solidly to the stations. I started using hot glue, but quickly stopped when it appeared unnecessary. Through some sloppiness I developed a small bulge at one station where the strips were perhaps 1/4" from the form, for a couple of inches, and I used your advice in cutting the offending strips apart, removing some material, and re-gluing them (to each other). That eliminated the bulge. The rest of the hull stayed firmly against the stations throughout, without any fastening at all. I had no problems scraping, planing or sanding, that sucker was solid! I did have to hot glue the hull to the forms in a few places when it came time to build the deck, however . . .
Happy Holidays, Spidey
