Thanks Rehd and others. I was thinking of using this one on areas of the hull with less curve and if I liked it, they had another one that had varying curves, the shape reminded me of a drafting curve.
I was interested in it mainly because I had never heard of one before and have really gotten to like using simple tools. On the shelf next to these was a nice Record block plane that was tempting but I've got to save my money for the fiberglass and epoxy.
Sounds like it will be most useful for cleaning up after glassing. I have yet to sharpening it but I think it needs it since I am only getting sawdust and no curl. I'll try using the screwdriver for burl if I've got one that is hard enough.
