Built the North Bay

I built the standard North Bay about two years ago. The boat will feel quite tippy at first, but if you spend time with it, you will get used to it. It was the boat that convinced me it was time to learn to roll. The boat is definately designed to track. Although it will respond to leaned turns it is not quick to come around being that it is almost 19 feet long. I also experienced a fair amount of weathercocking until I moved the seat back a bit. I recently sold mine as I prefer more manueverable boats and needed the space for new toys.

It is a fast, fun boat that will teach you alot of skills if you are still learning. If you are willing to spend some time in the water you will get used to the stability. Of course the XL has the same great looks in a far more stable package. Good luck with your descision.
