To those of you that responded to my 1st measage thank you (dave, chris, russ) and others I may have missed. Your information has been helpfull. In answer to some of your questions: Height: 5'6" Weight: 165" Shoe size: 9 Physical condition: good for my age of 58. I have extensive class 3 and 4 whitewater experience and presently paddle a 15' Wa-No-Na solo canoe ( kevlar 28#'s with 4oz paddle) on tidal creeks. I use it to keep in shape. I prefer light weight canoes and would like to build the lightest Kayak passible 30 to 40# range.I I have zero experience paddleing a kayak but do not feel I would have a problem with a high performace kayak. I like to make time when I have to otherwise I am happy with a good steady pace. I also like to fish with a fly rod. My goal is to paddle the Intercoastal Waterway: daytrips up to 5 days at a time. I would also like to paddle outside where practical. The winds where I live... Sapelo Sound can be constant at 5 to 15mph with wave height of 1 to 3ft.

Chris thanks for the offer to paddle your kayaks ... I would like to accept: Contact my at osprey@darientel.net to set up time: Happy New year to all.
Thanks
Wayne
