I decided that instead of scaling it to be more in keeping with the dimensions of modern paddlers and introduce more "error", I would just keep the original dimensions and let people modify it as needed. You can put the offsets into a spreadsheet and scale it by multiplying by a simple scale factor.

David Zimmerly assumed a 150 lbs displacement which would put bottom of the jaws about 1" above the waterline, but since the original boat weighs 44 lbs, this assumes a 105 lbs paddler. I don't know how much your average Aleut weighs, but the typical modern paddler is significantly more and the boat should be scaled accordingly.
